Alone again

It's coming! Stay tuned!

DH has gone on a business trip this week. He left today and hopefully he will be back on Wednesday but he can't get a flight. So if I can get my vacuum to work, I'll be doing my cleaning frenzy which will be good for my workouts.

Last week we had a sandstorm on Saturday, rain on Sunday, nice on Monday, rain on Tuesday, rain on Wednesday, nice the rest. That is 1 1/2 years worth of rain in one week. Don't know of we will get more rain or not this year. It didn't flood here like it normally does though.

I picked up a UFO on Wednesday night and started stitching. I picked up my Lizzie Kate Flip It stamp project and started working on the October square. Hopefully I'll sit down and stitch on that while DH is gone.

GET 'EM WHILE THEY'RE HOT! Get them before the Mattawa conficate them! New, in stores now! Come get your Christmas dinnerware! New this year, peppermint candy style dishes in 2 colors, Red & white and Green & white. That's right dear readers, the Christmas dishes are here. From salad bowls to turkey platters, salt & pepper shakers and gravy boats. I saw a huge display in the store. Of course it's NOT labeled Christmas, but if the peppermint candy style dishes doesn scream Christmas, I don't know what does.

On another display they had complete dinnerware for a Clambake, complete with a huge lobster shaped Lobster bowl/dish! Too funny!

That is about all from here. Have a GREAT weekend!

Return of the blob

Last night I sat down to stitch something, anything. I looked through my UFO/WIPs and pulled out my Blob WIP. When I picked it up it looked like this: I stitched for almost 3 hours and it looked like this: The top picture is more like the real colors. I've also stitched more on it tonight . Here is the 2 hour progress I made on it on Tuesday night. It's called An American Christmas ornament and it is a freebie pattern from Eterna Silk. This stitchathon is doing wonders for me.

The internet is beyond shitty anymore. It is taking anywhere between 2-5 mintues for pages to load and much longer if anything blinking or animated is on the page. There is no longer a "good time" or a "bad time" to be on, it's horrible 24/7. We even have "HIgh speed" !

We had the corned beef, cabbage, potatoes & carrots yesterday. The corned beef came out ok but it was WAYYYYYYY to salty this go round, but then I don't use salt every day so any additional amount is salty to me. It was even pretty good as leftovers tonight. There is still a couple days of leftovers left.

January 29

Hello again Lurkers and friends! Boy was it cool this morning when I let the cats in. DH lets them out when he gets up at 5AM and I let them in again when I get up. At 7:15 this morning it was very cool and breezy, it was 15C (59 for the American group) this morning when I let them in. I love this cooler weather. It is bright and sunny but it's cloudy. No chance of rain but big white puffy clouds.
I wish the inside of the house would be comfortable. The a/c is always on and the thermostat stays the same but it's either too hot or too cold in here. I'm freezing one minute and sweating the next. I have been keeping the patio door open and the screen door closed because it's nice outside and it sort of airs the house out.

I actually stitched last night. Woo Hoo. I stitched on a free pattern from Butterfly Stitches, it's a Valentine heart. I would post a picture but this may be a project on the Jayne's Attic group as a February Challenge so I have to keep it a secret, LOL.

I was straightening up my stitching area and computer area this morning and found that list I had made of all my WIP's and UFO's and boy I didn't think I had that many. So maybe if I post them here I will be embarrassed enough to finish some of them. They are in no particular order

Is that not an embarrassing list? The ones in red I have to get done before June. Not to mention a couple projects not listed above for my son's girlfriend and projects for a couple of special exchanges on the message boards. Then there are the last minute SALS I decide to join, LOL. Now if I could only get up the ambition to stitch some of those and get them done.
