Years down the road

Does anyone blog anymore?  LOL  I sure haven't.

Cats have come and gone, disappeared, died, etc.

Still haven't smoked.

My Father and sister have died

Still in Hell

Need to look at finished stitching pictures or blogs or whatever to get my mind off stuff but all the blogs I have listed are gone.  I guess people do facebook now.

June 2013

A follow up to my post below, our Spot baby died November 16 of Kidney failure.  We were devistated and it still hurts.

I came home to the USA in March after a call from my niece that my father was not good at all.  We rushed to get an exit visa and a plane ticket.  I got home before the March snowstorms, there was still lots of snow on the ground and there were a couple snow storms after I got home.
I drove to New York to see my father and to see my niece get married.  I got to see my new great niece and great nephew who are so cute!
Sadly on May 1 my Daddy died.  We are all heartbroken and sad but he is no longer in pain and the suffering is over.

So now my busy time starts, Bike Week has started here in New Hampshire.  I want to get a new tattoo in memory of my dad.  So much to do.

I'm still exercising, I joined the gym, I am careful what I eat

Sadly I couldn't get the extended 9 month visa, I only got a 6 month visa so I have to go back to hell on August 22 with my husband and we don't fly well together.

I need to get back into my stitching to finish things up.

That's my story for now.

It's been 5 years!

5 years since I quit smoking and I haven't had one since!  It's an awesome anniversart but since quitting smoking I have developed diabetes, thyroid condition, gout, high blood pressure, added 30 lbs, bleah!  And now I can't stand the smell of smoke.

I haven't stitched much so nothing to show.

My grandson will be 13 next month!  My other grandson will be 6!  NO WAY!

So we are down to 2 of our own cats and 1 outside cat, but one of our babies is not good at all, he is nothing but fur and bones and he sleeps all the time.  He is only 11, we have taken him to the vets but the vets here do not have all the proper equipment to diagnose and treat animals.  Spot is DH's bestest friend.

Today is World Diabetes day and of course NOTHING is being done here in Sucky land.

No turkey this year, NONE!  Not 1 fucking frozen turkey in this fucking country!  So I'm stuck with duck, I have never eaten duck nor cooked it.

Still doing Sparkpeople but can't find my ambition or motivation.

My son's 31st birthday was Yesterday, I didn't get to talk to him but I did text him and he did respond.

So, that is the general round up of me.

World Diabetes Day/4 year anniversary

I'm a day late with this, sorry.
Yesterday was World Diabetes Day, a day to inform people, a day to take a stand and let people know we desparetly need a cure for the millions who suffer from this deadly disease. I live in a back assward country where 1/2 the population is obese and diabetic, were there any functions here? Who knows!! Nothing was published in the papers here, I won't know if there were any gatherings, functions, displays nothing until maybe a week from now.
I was put on another expensive diabetes medication this summer called Victoza. It is an appetite suppressant in the pen injection form that works in conjunction with insulin. I was given some sample pens to make sure it worked and it did. I went to fill the prescription and it is $325.00 for 2 pens! Are they fucking nuts? Yes I did have to get a few pens to hold me over until I can find a dr., hospital, clinic here in hell that has it.

It's also my 4th year of being smoke free, YAY me!

I did stitch a little bit yesterday on a project called Give Thanks by Hinzeit, this is what it will look like when I'm done. I'm also participating in the stitchathon over at one of my groups again.

Trying to plan out my Thanksgiving meal. Will it be a healthy version, who knows but I do know I still have to watch what I eat. I am still active at SparkPeople

So, there is another post from me. Amazing aint it?

Back in Hell/Happy Birthday Jimmy

Well I'm back in hell, been back since Oct. 4. I suppose it's for the best since I would be home by myself with the heat, electricity on all the time and buying food, gas and stuff all the time. At least it doesn't snow here.
For shits and grins, we looked at the Saudia flight schedule and apparently if we buy our tickets now, they are more than 1/2 of what we pay come March, so I'm looking at a return date of May 26-A Saturday. Woo Hoo.

today is my son's 30th birthday. I can't believe he is 30 already, where does time go? This is a picture of Jimmy and James on James's first day of school in August

I am stitching again and I'm happy to be stitching! I finished a couple projects and working on another one.
I saw this on Facebook and just couldn't help posting this. I think it's a hoot!

Homeward Bound

I will be HOME in the USA Monday morning around 9:30AM! 12 hour non stop flight with no booze, screaming, ill mannered, un diciplined, obnoxious brats, stinky, unwashed people.
With any luck, both my kids will be in Concord when I get off the bus, at least I hope so.
Looks like it will rain all week too.

Hey, a post from me!

How about that shit? I posted.

I've been to the states and back. Had fun, spent too much money, spent too little time with my kids and grandsons, and parents, sister and nieces, or at least it always seems like I do.

I got fat, blood sugar went way out of control despite watching what I ate.
I went to the gym at least 3 times a week, mostly 5 days a week.

Found some good places to eat in the local area.
Went places we haven't been before.

Watched the sunrise from the top of Mt. Washington, 6288 feet up in 60 MPH winds
Went zip lining on Wildcat Mountain WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Got some house painting and cleaning done.

Spark On!

Now I'm back in hell until May.

I DID find out "the rest of the story" or the "real story" from what happened in October regarding my family.

No stitching yet.

It's official--I guess-MAY BE OFFENSIVE

THIS POST MAY BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME VIEWERS, ESPECIALLY MEN AND WOMEN OF CHILD BEARING YEARS.

So it's now been 12 months, 370 days and 54 weeks since the last start and end of my last period! So I guess that officially makes me menopausal and can't have any more babies. That is kind of sad but at the same time woo hoo, no more surprises! I do not know if this came about naturally, if it was caused by thyroid problems that brought on the diabetes or if it was caused by diabetes that brought on thyroid problems. I do not know if the hot flashes and night sweats are caused my menopause OR if they are the HUGE HIGH spikes in my blood glucose levels that I can't seem go get under control. Either way WOO HOO!

And yes, I still can't get the diabetes under control. I guess gaining the 10lbs over the summer caused my blood glucose levels to go up and not come down. I DO watch what I eat, I DO exercise but the weight just is not coming off. The same 3-4 lbs comes and goes on a monthly basis but I just can't seem to get rid of it permanently.

Stitching? Nope. Haven't stitched a thing since before Christmas. I think about it every day though. I haven't even visited most of my favourite message boards or browsed the new patterns, can you believe that?

That is my story for today
